It is such a wonderful feeling when a collector of art notices your work at an art show and actually purchases the piece. This is the case at the recent RTIA show held in Reno during September. I wasn’t in attendance when my painting caught the attention of the buyers so I was unable to get to know them. To my delight however, when I did return to the show and was told that one of my paintings sold, I was overwhelmed with joy. Not just because my painting sold, it was the feeling of humility and gratefulness that my expressions through my art resonated with another person. I find it challenging at times to gauge if one actually makes a positive impact in the lives of others through speech and actions. Creating art on the other hand, enhances lives and does in fact create a positive impact. This viewpoint keeps me motivated to continue to try new techniques and continue to place my art in venues for others to enjoy.
